Holga & Friends Out of the Box

Two of my photographs will be included in the Holga & Friends Out of the Box exhibition at Tammy Cromer Photo | Sculpture | Gallery & Productions.

This is the inaugural exhibit in Tammy Cromer's new gallery space in Dallas, TX, at 2543 Farrington Street. The gallery can be reached by phone at 903-241-4844.

The exhibit runs from October 29 through December 31, 2016, with an opening reception on Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

This year's juror for Holga & Friends Out of the Box was photographer, teacher, lecturer, author, and curator Harvey Stein. He said this about judging the show:

“Holga photography still lives, even if the company no longer does. The work that I chose for this exhibit confirms my strong affection for the magic and mystery of the fraction of a second, whether captured by an outrageously expensive $8000 camera or a toy camera that is the Holga. But really, it’s not the camera at all, it’s the intelligence, feelings, and needs of the artist, and here we have many artists brilliantly exploring their lives, environments and emotional states.  Long live Holga; long live the artist.”

A Day's Journey Inward at Inside the Outside

A series of my photographs, titled "A Day's Journey Inward," and accompanied by a brief article, has been published on the Inside the Outside landscape photography collective's website.
This is work that I've never shown (online or elsewhere) before, made as part of a collaboration with Paul Romaniuk and Jan Gates. I encourage you to look around the Inside the Outside website for wonderful explorations of inner and outer landscapes.
